Of my many wonderful uncles, Rick is the dearest to me. We'd play our acoustic guitars at every single Thanksgiving and Christmas together. There are few people with as much enthusiasm for me music as he has, and because of that, he has been a huge influence on my musical journey. He alone turned me on to 3 of my all-time favorite artists: The Beatles, America, and Simon and Garfunkel. I'm glad he's shared his love with me in those ways, and impacted the others around him in countless more.

Our deepest sympathy and prayer. Fond memories of Rick, especially on Christmas with the family and working with him on houses. Rick was a great guy, gone too soon. Rest In Peace. Love, Patty & Joe McLaughlin

Sorry for your loss. I remember Rick well from when he lived on Berkley in Elmhurst and we all hung out together when we were young. My thoughts and prayers are with you and his family. RIP Rick.

Our family has know Rick since high school. I’m not going to say how long ago that was. He roofed our home with my brother Gary and did siding with Gary for at least 20 years. Rick was always upbeat and enjoyed a good laugh. He went too soon and will be missed. Our deepest sympathy to Cindy, the boys, and his entire family.
