Mr Baird was a determined and familiar walker through our neighborhood for decades. Now he walks with the angels in heaven. RIP.

I hardly know where to start. I first met Bob in our church some 25 years ago. We also served together on the Order of the Arrow cook crew for the Boy Scouts of America. Despite our age difference, we became fast friends due to the fact that we had numerous shared interests.Unfortunately, this website does not allow me to relate them, who h disappoints me tremendously. I hope I can ... Sadly, this website will no allow me to do so, despite my desire to relate and honor Bob's life.

I have always been amazed at Bob's energy and varied interests . i couldn't believe that even as an "older" man he would go alone to a Bears football game, buy a ticket from a scalper and sit there in the cold enjoying a game. I bet he found someone to talk to. He was always ready for a party and was the chief martini maker for our unique Embers group. The last years have been hard for him but he was always ready with a smile. Good job, Bob. See you in Heaven.

It is with great sadness that I hear of Mr. Baird's passing, but reading his life story tells me of a man who lived and enjoyed his life to his fullest. It has been many years since his was my scoutmaster at Troop 80 and to this day, I think of him fondly. Your kindness and gentleness will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers to all of his family
